This policy explains how Adanson Data Index (“we”, “us”) handles personal data. Adanson Data Index provides independent market data and analysis to organisations by agreement.
Who we are
Adanson Data Index is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: team@adansonindex.co.uk.
What personal data may be involved
- business contact details that businesses publish about themselves (for example a trading name, business address, telephone number or email address), which may identify a sole trader;
- account details of people who use our service (name, email address and sign-in records).
We do not process special-category data.
Lawful basis
For published business information we rely on legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)), limited to a business context. For account users we rely on contract (Article 6(1)(b)), to provide the service you have agreed to use.
Sharing
We share personal data only with service providers who help us run the service (for example hosting and email), under appropriate agreements, and where the law requires it. We do not sell personal data.
Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purposes above, then delete or anonymise it.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, to restrict its processing, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact team@adansonindex.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including access controls and encrypted connections.
